After he left Siaya, his local hometown, Larry Madowo came to Nairobi. After his first ever journal interview with Y FM (Now Hot 96), Larry failed and he was never called for a job. He was living with his auntie in Nairobi and life was becoming harder for him


He then decided to assist his aunt in his small kiosk in Gikosh. He in fact assisted in selling tea, mandazi, ugali and all that kind of foods to people who trade at Gikomba.
